Artistree designed and permitted this 40 key lodging offering at California Hot Springs Resort. The objective of our design was to transform the existing, sleepy offering of an RV park, day-use pool, and bath facility, into an attractive overnight lodging that would bring visitors to this historic property known for its healing waters and serene location. The property is situated in the Sierra Foothills region and surrounded on three sides by Sequoia National Forest. There are two artesian hot springs that come out of the ground at 131 and 129 degrees Fahrenheit with a daily flow of 350,000 gal/day.
By providing boutique luxury lodging, the site once loved in the early 1900s by movie stars from LA can once again become a wellness destination within driving distance of Los Angeles, while increasing existing guest access and site amenities. Providing overnight options for guests and staff housing is a top priority as this allows California Hot Springs to attract people from farther origins than solely for day use and provides onsite housing for employees in this remote location with limited population to draw employees from.
